Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified In-House Legal Counsel to manage the company’s legal matters, ensure regulatory compliance, mitigate risks, and support business objectives across all departments. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Singaporean commercial, corporate, and tenancy laws, especially related to real estate and short-term accommodation regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and support across all business functions, including operations, sales, HR and procurement.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including tenancy agreements, service agreements, vendor contracts, and employment contracts.
  • Ensure company compliance with all applicable local laws, including URA regulations and personal data protection (PDPA).
  • Advise on dispute resolution strategies and manage external counsel as needed.
  • Assist in corporate governance, board resolutions, and company secretarial matters.
  • Stay updated on changes in legislation and regulations affecting the business.
  • Support licensing and permit applications related to short-term stays, leasing, or development.
  • Conduct legal training for relevant staff and contribute to risk management planning.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from a recognized university; called to the Singapore Bar preferred.
  • 3+ years of post-qualification legal experience, ideally with a combination of private practice and in-house roles.
  • Experience in real estate, commercial contracts, or hospitality law is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive, organized, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with URA and SLA guidelines on property usage.
  • Experience handling disputes or litigation in real estate or tenancy matters.
