Legal Counsel (General Corporate), Manufacturing

My client, a Global MNC within the manufacturing space, is looking to expand its Legal Team and is open to candidates who are looking to transit from private practice to in-house.

Role and Responsibilities:

1. Oversee legal matters for India, providing occasional support for other SEA countries as needed.
2. Advise leadership on legal compliance related to corporate and business activities.
3. Conduct legal and regulatory research, providing support and analysis.
4. Offer professional advice on managing disputes, litigation, regulatory issues, and other contentious matters.
5. Draft and review a comprehensive range of commercial and legal documents.
6. Translate legal documents and company correspondence as required.
7. Stay updated on new laws and regulations that may impact the company.
8. Liaise with external professionals and regulatory bodies.
9. Deliver internal training on legal issues and risk management.
10. Manage the filing and organization of correspondence and documents.
11. Participate in various ad hoc assignments as needed.

To Qualify:

1. A recognized degree in Law.
2. Significant corporate experience with a minimum of 2 - 4 years of legal experience gained in-house or in practice with a reputable law firm.
3. Ability to work well under pressure.
