Job summary

A growing financial services firm in Singapore is seeking a Legal Counsel. This newly created position involves advising on legal matters, drafting agreements, and supporting product teams. Candidates should have a Law degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience. Strong analytical and negotiation skills are required. The role offers an opportunity to work closely with various business units in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Law with minimum 2 years of experience in related field is required.
  • Excellent legal & contract analytical skills with a good eye for detail.
  • Excellent drafting capabilities and negotiation/communication skills.

Job description

Our Client

Our client is a fast growing company within Financial Services and they are currently looking for a Legal Counsel to be based in Singapore. This is a newly created role and supporting the General Counsel out of SG.

The Role

  • Working closely and building relationships with multiple business units across the Company and across our Global markets to advise on a wide range of legal matters and ad hoc problems, including licensing, market entry and partnerships
  • Structuring, drafting, and negotiating commercial agreements with banking/payments partners, outsourced service providers and suppliers
  • Understanding the real risks to the business and providing practical advice to Product and Expansion teams. Supporting Product and Expansion teams on changes to our customer agreement for new services or new market entry
  • Supporting initiatives relating to governance within the group with close support from Group Co Sec
  • Liaising with external counsel where required

To Qualify

  • Degree in Law with minimum 2 years of experience in related field is required
  • Excellent legal & contract analytical skills with a good eye for detail
  • Excellent drafting capabilities and negotiation/ communication skills
