Job Summary

Reporting to the Head of Legal, APAC (based in Singapore), this role is a key member of the regional legal team. The successful candidate will take on a pivotal advisory function, supporting business stakeholders on a wide spectrum of legal matters while overseeing legal operations in Singapore. You will also provide legal support for FEED and EPC projects across the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements related to FEED/EPC projects.
  • Advise stakeholders on project bids, contractual risks, and related legal considerations.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure smooth execution of contracts and compliance with obligations.
  • Identify potential legal risks and propose practical mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee litigation and contentious matters within the region.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and local/regional regulatory frameworks.
  • Contribute to drafting and updating internal legal policies, guidelines, and templates.
  • Liaise and coordinate directly with external legal counsel where required.
  • Support the implementation of corporate policies and procedures as designated by management.
Requirements
  • LLB/LLM qualification with 3-7 years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
  • Bar qualification from a Commonwealth jurisdiction; Singapore Bar preferred.
  • In-house experience in EPC, utilities, power, or infrastructure, or law firm experience in construction/projects is advantageous.
  • Strong grounding in project execution and dispute resolution is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a team and independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience in a multinational setting is advantageous; familiarity with Japanese culture will be a plus.
