The role is responsible for Korea and Japan cluster, and is a trusted advisor on food law matters in Korea, Japan, Indonesia and Thailand. The position reports to Head of Legal, Ferrero Asia Pacific and is bringing onboard strong legal expertise and strategy, together with sound judgment and proactive thinking.
Lead all legal activities for Korea and Japan, including food law support
Provide food law support for Indonesia and Thailand
Partner with marketing, commercial, and cross-functional teams, offer practical solutions and translate legal risks into actionable guidance
Advise on marketing activities including marketing campaigns, consumer promotions, KOL marketing, advertisements, and marketing assets
Advise on contracts including distributor and retailer contracts, service agreements, and NDAs
Provide support on food law matters including food labelling and food claims
Provide legal guidance on trademark, IP infringement, regulatory and consumer law issues
Oversee compliance matters including anti-bribery, anti-trust, and data privacy
Monitor regulatory developments and assess the business impact
Manage corporate governance matters including POA, shareholder meetings, and BoD meetings
Provide legal updates and risk assessments to local and central stakeholders, managelegal trainings
Participate in global and regional legal projects as needed
Manage dispute resolution, consumers’ complaints and government challenges as needed
Collaborate with global and regional legal teams on projects and initiatives
Work with external advisor and manage relationships
University degree in Law
Strong professional background, experience in working in the law firm and in-house is preferred
Experience in or with FMCG multinational companies and food industry preferred
Proven ability to work across markets of APAC, and manage a diverse legal portfolio
Strong sense of accountability, commitment to deadlines, and attention to detail
Proactivity, reliability, sound judgement and openness to new ideas and perspectives
Ability to manage complexity while keeping a focus and managing priorities
Team-orientation, ability to work cross-functionally and eagerness to learn from others
Strong communication skills and stakeholder management ability
Advanced MS Office skills
Fluency on English, written and spoken; other relevant language skills (e.g., Korean, Japanese, Thai, Bahasa) are preferred
