Job summary

Taylor Root is seeking a Legal Counsel in Singapore with 3–5 PQE to provide practical legal guidance across corporate and commercial matters. The role involves drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, supporting strategic initiatives and corporate transactions, and advising on governance, compliance and cross-border issues.

• Qualified lawyer with post-qualification experience gained in private practice, in-house, or a combination of both.

• Strong drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical and commercially focused legal advice to business stakeholders across a range of corporate and commercial matters.
• Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements and legal documentation.
• Support strategic business initiatives, corporate transactions and investment-related activities.
• Advise on legal, regulatory, compliance and governance matters across multiple jurisdictions.
• Identify, assess and mitigate legal risks while supporting business growth and commercial objectives.
• Partner closely with senior management and cross-functional teams on day-to-day legal matters.
• Manage relationships with external counsel and coordinate legal support when required.
• Assist with the development and implementation of internal policies, processes and governance frameworks.
• Deliver clear, pragmatic and solution-oriented legal guidance to stakeholders across the organisation.
