Job summary

Aberdeen is seeking a mid-senior Legal Counsel in Singapore to provide regional legal support for the financial services activities. The role reports to the Senior Legal Counsel and requires a Singapore-qualified lawyer with at least 5 years PQE.

Responsibilities include advising on legal issues, contracting, risk management, and coordinating with internal stakeholders and external counsels on regional projects.

• Qualified in Singapore with at least 5 years PQE.
• Experience in the financial industry; asset management is a plus.
• Strong English communication; Chinese is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and manage risks.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts including third-party and investment management agreements.
• Manage external counsels and coordinate with the global Legal team.

Key Eligibility Criteria

• Degree in Law
• Singapore qualified with at least 5 years’ Post-Qualification Experience (PQE)
• Knowledge and experience in the financial industry; experience in asset management is an advantage

• Manage external counsels as required
• Collaborate with the global Legal team on group-wide initiatives
