Job Description:
As the legal advisor of a Singapore subsidiary of a MNC, you will be independently responsible for:
- All legal affairs of the Singapore subsidiary, including but not limited to contract drafting and review, commercial negotiation, corporate governance, labor, business compliance, legal training and other matters.
- Building up the legal compliance framework of the Singapore subsidiary, including but not limited to improving contract templates, document management, business risk management, IP protection, trade compliance, labor compliance and other matters.
- Receiving legal requests from business units and provide legal opinions for business operations and market development in Singapore; identify business risks and provide solutions.
- Organizing and standardizing legal work, formulate and optimize legal policies, contract templates and other legal documents.
- Coordinating with external lawyers to handle litigation, arbitration, labor disputes and other legal disputes.
- Communicating with the legal team of the Headquarters, major customers, suppliers, law firms, external counsels, and government regulatory authorities.
- Providing training on local and foreign laws to business units.
- Understanding and implementing the decisions of the Headquarters.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Law from a renowned university
- Familiar with Singapore commercial laws is preferred
- At least 3 years of related work experience
- Preferred experience in both law firms and in-house
- Preferred experience in logistics or related industries
- Preferred experience in MNC.
