Job summary

MICHAEL PAGE (PERSONNEL) PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a Legal Counsel to lead APAC growth, oversee cross-border transactions and provide pragmatic legal advice to senior management.

You will draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, support commodities trading and financing activities, and lead legal workstreams for M&A, joint ventures and restructurings across multiple jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with admission to practice in a recognised jurisdiction.
• Minimum 3+ years of post-qualification experience in a leading law firm or in-house.
• Strong experience in corporate transactions including drafting and negotiating documents.
• Exposure to two of M&A, fundraising, capital markets, banking & finance, or disputes.
• Ability to assess legal risks pragmatically with commercially balanced recommendations.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to engage senior leadership.

Job Description

The Successful Applicant

A successful Legal Counsel should have:

• Qualified lawyer with admission to practice in a recognised jurisdiction

• Strong experience in corporate transactions, including drafting and negotiating transaction documents
• Exposure to at least two of the following areas: M&A, fundraising, capital markets, banking and finance, or commercial disputes
• Experience advising on complex commercial agreements and business transactions
• Ability to assess legal risks pragmatically and provide commercially balanced recommendations
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to engage senior business leaders
• Comfortable operating independently within a fast-paced and evolving environment
