Responsibilities:

• Provide full legal advice and support to the Group. This includes assisting in drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and existing regulatory frameworks.
• Handle general corporate and commercial matters such as loan agreements, employment matters, mergers and acquisitions.
• Perform internal compliance and reconciliation functions based on Group policies & processes, best practices, and statutory and regulatory requirements, while minimizing legal risks.
• Provide advice to directors and business units and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• Law degree and legal professional qualifications in at least one jurisdiction.
• At least five to seven (5-7) years PQE in practice and/or in-house.
• Possess excellent legal analytical skills, drafting and negotiation skills.
• Strong business acumen to understand business goals and strategy.
• Solution-oriented and seek to work with the business to solve and close matters.
• Effective and diplomatic communicator.
• A good team player and able to work with multiple stakeholders.
