Job summary

Kuok Group Singapore (KGSg) is seeking a Legal Counsel to support K2's data centre business from Singapore. The role involves providing legal support, negotiating complex agreements, and ensuring regulatory compliance across the group's global operations.

The successful candidate will have 4–10 years post-qualification experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment within a diversified conglomerate.

Qualifications

• 4–10 years' post-qualification experience in tech/data centre/telecom/real estate/construction, from a top-tier firm or in-house.
• Able to operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal support and assess risk across contentious and non-contentious matters for K2's global operations.
• Draft, review and negotiate customer colocation service agreements, leases, JV agreements and related contracts.
• Engage external lawyers as needed and manage legal expenditures.
• Develop and implement process improvements, precedents, and contracting policies.
• Oversee compliance policies, procedures and training programs.

Job Summary

K2 is seeking to engage a Legal Counsel with relevant experience to support K2, its data centre business. This role is based in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing legal support and assessing legal risk in respect of a broad range of contentious and non-contentious matters, projects and regulatory, compliance and corporate governance-related issues where relevant, for K2's global business operations.
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating legal and transactional documentation such as customer colocation service agreements, construction-related contracts, joint venture agreements, leases, project financing documentation, security agreements, consultancy agreements and other general commercial and operational contracts with varying levels of complexity.
• Engaging/liaising with external lawyers where required, and managing associated legal expenditure.
• Formulating, developing and implementing process-oriented improvements and risk/knowledge management initiatives, such as model contracts and clauses, contracting principles/policies, precedent databases, checklists and other tools.
• Overseeing the implementation of critical compliance policies, procedures and training.

Key Requirements

• Preferably at least 4 to 10 years' post-qualification experience within the technology, data centre, telecommunications, real estate and construction industry(s) or sector(s), with construction, real estate and/or corporate/M&A experience, from a top-tier law firm or corporate in-house legal department.
• Able to operate effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Proactive and progressive in self-development.
