A leading company in Singapore is seeking a qualified lawyer to provide legal support on corporate issues and manage legal processes. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in law and at least 3 years of post-qualification experience in corporate secretarial roles, especially in MNCs or listed companies. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence the company's legal compliance and governance.
Job Responsibilities
Provide legal advice and support on corporate legal issues.
Manage legal processes, including handling disputes and litigation.
Identify potential legal risks and recommend solutions.
Draft, review, negotiate, and manage legal and business agreements.
Work closely with external legal counsel when needed.
Update management on legal and regulatory changes affecting the business.
Handle corporate secretarial duties such as arranging board and shareholder meetings.
Maintain and renew company licenses and permits.
Monitor the expiry and renewal timelines of key legal documents.
Communicate with authorities and prepare statutory reports and registers.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in law with minimum 3 years of PQE.
Prior experience in a corporate secretarial role within an MNC or listed company.
Strong understanding of corporate governance, compliance requirements, and board processes.
Capable of delivering clear legal advice and simplifying complex legal concepts for stakeholders.
