Job description

Job Description: We are seeking an aspiring and proactive Legal Associate to join our Corporate Practice team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the team. This is a full-time position that offers opportunities to work alongside experienced legal professionals and collaborate with international offices within Han Kun network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise on and manage public and private mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions.
  • Conduct legal due diligence and assist in structuring deals.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts and transactional documents.
  • Working with local counsel on financial services regulatory matters in Singapore.
  • Work closely with clients, counterparties, and other advisors to deliver practical and commercially sound solutions.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Singapore-qualified lawyer with 2 to 4 years of PQE in a reputable law firm.
  • Strong experience in corporate law, with a focus on M&A, transactional work, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Fluency in both English and Mandarin is essential, as the role involves liaising with Mandarin-speaking clients and reviewing Chinese-language documents.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
