Job Title: Legal Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Assistant to join our dynamic firm. The ideal candidate will provide essential legal and administrative support, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, contract management, and efficient document handling. This role requires a strong understanding of legal procedures, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to real estate projects and properties.
- Prepare in-house rental agreements, sale deeds, power of attorney, and similar documents.
- Review property-related documents and conduct due diligence of land documents.
- Maintain and organize legal files, correspondence, case records, property documents, and agreements.
- Conduct legal research on tenancy laws, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with internal teams, external counsel, and regulatory bodies on legal matters.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations governing architectural and property practices.
- Manage deadlines for legal filings, contract renewals, and project approvals.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Assist in dispute resolution processes, including claims management and contract negotiations.
- Prepare reports, summaries, and presentations for legal meetings.
- Coordinate renewal of licenses for existing properties.
Qualifications & Skills:
- BL degree, Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or a related field. Paralegal certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a legal assistant, preferably in property, engineering, or construction sectors.
- Strong knowledge of contract law, compliance regulations, and legal research.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal management software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Fluency in English and Tamil is mandatory; knowledge of Hindi is a plus.
