Job Opportunity: Maritime Law Corporate and Mortgage Manager

Are you a Maritime Law graduate with experience in the shipping industry?

Our client, a leading shipping conglomerate, is looking to recruit a Legal background corporate and mortgage manager for their growing teams in Singapore.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a Legal Counsel in a shipping company or someone with industry experience seeking to work within a close-knit team of professionals.

The position involves a customer service and client-facing role within the shipping industry, focusing on ship finances and registration matters globally, especially in China. Chinese speaking abilities will be advantageous.

Responsibilities
  • Guide clients on company formation and FME registration.
  • Review, vet, and oversee corporate applications, including company formation, FME registration, certificates of good standing, filing documents in the public register, recording documents, withdrawals, and dissolutions.
  • Oversee KYC processes for Asian regional offices.
  • Ensure proper implementation of corporate law and requirements across Asian regional offices.
  • Train corporate staff as necessary.
Additional Duties
  • Participate in marketing meetings, events, and workshops as needed.
  • Propose procedural improvements to enhance service efficiency.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Law school graduate, maritime law preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience, with ship finance and maritime industry expertise preferred.
  • Experience with mortgage instruments and financing documents.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience.
