The Senior Lecturer / Lecturer in Exhibition Design will be responsible for developing and delivering curriculum content, supervising student projects, and mentoring learners across pre-, in-, and post-course stages. The role involves enhancing pedagogical quality through innovative teaching strategies, evaluating and refining curriculum effectiveness, and leading industry collaborations, competitions, and exhibitions.

The candidate will also contribute to school-level initiatives, including outreach, recruitment, and project management, while staying attuned to evolving industry trends. Additional responsibilities include developing Continuing Education and Training (CET) programmes aligned with Exhibition Design.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver courses related to Exhibition Design, including curriculum development, course assessment, project supervision, mentoring of students, and providing pre-, in-, and post-course advice.
• Enhance the quality of lesson design and delivery through implementing appropriate teaching and learning strategies and methods.
• Evaluate curriculum design, development, delivery, and assessment to enhance their effectiveness.
• Spearhead and lead developmental initiatives and industry collaborations, including competitions and exhibitions.
• Keep abreast of and respond to changing trends in the professional and educational landscape through active engagement with industry and professional bodies/communities.
• Lead or represent in school committees and contribute to administrative/management tasks (i.e. outreach, student recruitment, project management etc.) as and when required.
• Review, formulate, and implement processes in response to new initiatives/strategies set by the School/Dept.
• Develop and deliver CET programmes related to Exhibition Design.

Requirements:

• Relevant qualification or at least 5 years of relevant industry experience in Exhibition Design.
• Passionate in nurturing the next generation of Exhibition Designers.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills and proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Knowledge of exhibition design processes and tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Experience in physical prototyping techniques and materials.
• Proficient in 3D modeling and rendering software (e.g., Rhino, 3Ds Max, Keyshot, Enscape).
• Experience in using Generative AI tools for spatial and exhibition design applications.

Candidate should possess relevant experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Spatial Design and Planning
• Lighting Design
• Interactive Installation Design and Development
• Sustainable Design Practices
• Immersive Experience & Media Creation (AR/VR/MR)
