What the role is:
Lecturer in the Automation Engineering group within the School of Engineering. This role involves delivering, developing and maintaining course content (PET/CET) on industrial automation and robotics, and supervising student projects. It includes mentoring learners, supporting their development, and contributing to outreach and overseas programs. The role also requires leading industry collaborations and working on automation projects involving design, assembly, and troubleshooting.
What you will be working on:
You will deliver PET and CET curricula, contribute to course and curriculum development, and supervise student projects, particularly in the area of industrial automation and robotics. The role includes maintaining and enhancing teaching materials, mentoring learners, and supporting their overall development. You must take on administrative duties, represent the institution in committees, and lead outreach and overseas initiatives. To stay relevant to industry, you will drive new industry partnerships and contribute to projects involving the design, development, and troubleshooting of automation systems.
