Zusammenfassung

Singapore Polytechnic invites applications for a cybersecurity educator to join our academic team. The appointee will teach, develop curriculum, and contribute to applied research and consultancy projects, guiding youths and adult learners to transform knowledge into practical skills.

The role requires expertise in at least one cybersecurity domain and a willingness to broaden capabilities across secure coding, cryptography, ICS/OT security, malware analysis, ethical hacking, IoT and cloud

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 2 years of relevant industry experience in cybersecurity, software development, IT infrastructure, cloud computing, systems engineering, network engineering, digital forensics, or related technology domains.
• Passionate about education and possess strong interest in teaching and mentoring both youths and adult learners.
• Self-driven, independent, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows environments.
• Familiar with cybersecurity principles, IT security best practices, and common security standards or frameworks (e.g. NIST, CIS Controls, ISO 27001).
• Possess programming, scripting, automation or software development experience in at least one language (e.g. Python, JavaScript, Java, C/C++, PowerShell).
• Membership in a recognised information security or cybersecurity professional body will be an advantage.
• Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISA, CISM, OSCP, Security+, CEH, QISP or equivalent) will be an advantage.

Not only must he/she possess the relevant knowledge and industry experience, he/she must also possess the ability to deconstruct the knowledge and experience, guiding students to reconstruct them as their own knowledge. He/she must also possess a passion for working with youths, nurturing them, and moulding their characters. Successful candidate will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance.
