This is a 2-year contract position as a Lecturer in the School of Design & Environment.
Develop and improve the content of modules you are assigned to teach and deliver for full-time and part-time learners.
Be competent to conduct teaching and delivery of modules in classroom and online settings.
Set and conduct assessments for the modules you are assigned.
Lead in the integration of module content, teaching, and delivery to achieve the course objectives.
Initiate and experiment with new pedagogies or learning technologies to enhance curriculum delivery.
Administrative and other duties to support the management of the school, diploma, and modules.
Duties and responsibilities that may arise to support curriculum development and currency.
Solve operational problems to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
Supervise junior team members to ensure smooth operations.
Applicants must have strong communication skills and an inherent passion to teach students in both physical classrooms and online learning environments.
Candidates should have at least 3 years of demonstrated experience and be competent to plan, develop, and teach at least three of the following areas:
Building, Facilities and Strata Management.
Building Services (Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering).
Business Continuity Management.
Environmental Management.
Fire Safety Management.
Green and Sustainability Management.
Project, Procurement and Contracts Management.
Security Management.
Workplace Safety and Health Management.
Besides teaching full-time diploma students, the lecturer will also be required to teach Part-Time Courses to learners who are working adults. These classes are usually conducted in the evenings from 6 PM to 10 PM.
