Role Overview

Responsibilities

In addition to your teaching duties, you will carry out industry or consultancy projects to stay relevant in your profession and adapt to industry changes. You will also maintain strong linkages with industry and educational institutions. Opportunities for industry attachments or gaining practical experience will be provided regularly to enhance your skills, knowledge, and practices.

Candidate Profile

Candidates should be trained in Chemical Engineering, Chemical Process Technology, Process Instrumentation, or related fields. A minimum of 3 years of experience in process plants, preferably in the petroleum, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, chemical, or process instrumentation industries, is required. Good hands-on knowledge in:

  • Plant operations
  • Process instrumentation and control
  • Plant reliability and maintenance
  • Safety and environmental engineering

Candidates with relevant experience may have opportunities for advancement to Senior Lecturer or equivalent roles, with potential career development into leadership positions within the Colleges or Headquarters.
