Job summary

Government Technology Agency (GovTech) in Singapore invites applications for a Lecturer (Aviation Management) in the School of Engineering. You will conduct lectures, tutorials, laboratory sessions, and supervise projects for both full-time and part-time learners.

You will design and deliver curriculum, learning materials, assessments, and employ technology-enabled learning. You will also advise students, supervise SIP/MP, engage with industry, organise learning trips, and contribute beyond

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in any discipline with at least 3 years of aviation industry experience.
• Competency to teach at least two domains: Airport Operations & Management, Airside Operations & Management, and Air Traffic Management.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Passion for education and student development.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional settings.
• Experience in airport or air traffic simulation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lectures, tutorials, laboratory sessions, project supervision, and student consultations for full-time and part-time learners.
• Design, develop, deliver, and review curriculum, learning materials, assessments, and teaching strategies.
• Leverage technology-enabled learning approaches, including e-learning and self-directed learning.
• Assess student performance, set assignments and examinations, and ensure assessment quality.
• Provide academic guidance and pastoral support for diverse student needs.
• Supervise SIP students, Major Projects, and other experiential learning activities.
• Engage with industry, professional bodies, and communities to maintain curriculum relevance and participate in industry projects.
• Organise local and overseas student learning trips and polytechnic-wide events.
• Support departmental initiatives and undertake teaching duties outside normal hours when required.
