Position: Learning & Development Specialist
Responsibilities

The incumbent is expected to work closely with Operations, Technology, Management & Support Teams to review, update competencies, and develop future-ready skills aligned with REC's business needs.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and administer external training programs based on departmental learning requests, including course evaluation and managing training bonds if required.
  • Coordinate in-house training programs with Subject Matter Expert Trainers for employee development.
  • Conduct onboarding and orientation training for new employees.
  • Create and deliver e-learning packages, Udemy courses, e-OJT via PowerApps, mobile learning, and manage the L&D portal to foster a digital learning culture.
  • Ensure proper administration and documentation of learning activities in accordance with L&D policies, grants, and audit requirements.
  • Support ISO and Quality audits to ensure compliance.
  • Manage New Employee Orientation programs.
  • Utilize Power App and Power Automate to gather 30-60-90 feedback from new hires.
  • Research external skills demand and develop upskilling plans for employees.
  • Coordinate with government agencies on new grant initiatives.
  • Provide cross-functional support to HR functions, employee engagement, and team-building projects.
  • Participate in administrative documentation and productivity projects.
  • Prepare training reports for management review.
  • Organize events like Annual Trainers' Day and Safety-Quality-Learning Week.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in two languages is an advantage.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, including public speaking.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of coding languages such as Python, Java, Power Automate, or similar is advantageous.
