Job summary

Emerson Automation Solutions Singapore PTE. LTD. is seeking a Production Line Leader to support daily manufacturing operations, coordinate line activities, and help ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are achieved.

Qualifications

• Secondary education or equivalent combination of education, training and relevant work experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing, production, assembly, or industrial environment.
• Ability to coordinate and support the activities of a production team while fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Effective communication skills, including English for operational purposes.
• Basic computer proficiency including MS Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to learn and perform tasks across multiple workstations.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to identify and elevate production issues.
• Commitment to quality, safety, continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Ability to perform manual material handling in line with safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform workstation tasks per procedures and quality requirements.
• Conduct in-process quality checks and verify material and finished assemblies.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and organize tools and equipment.
• Meet production cycle times and support manufacturing schedules.
• Follow safety procedures and promote a safety culture.
• Support lean activities such as Kanban and FIFO to meet targets.
• Collect production data to support continuous improvement.
• Identify and communicate material, process, equipment, or quality issues.
• Perform basic cleaning, inspections, and preventive maintenance on automation equipment.
• Verify suitability of equipment, chemicals, and materials for production.
• Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety rules.
• Report unsafe conditions and participate in productivity initiatives.
• Train and support team members to maintain standards.
• Coordinate production activities and participate in 5S and continuous improvement.
• Assist supervisors with daily coordination and other duties as needed.
