Job description

This role is to develop RS Lean Management culture at our Malaysia & Singapore sites by driving the execution of lean and continuous improvement projects. The role is to also train and coach employees, driving projects in the areas of operational excellence.

Your tasks

  • Strategic orientation of lean management.
  • Develop lean culture, as well as lean tools and methods.
  • Advising managers in the introduction process.
  • Develop processes and areas with foresight and proactively shape change.
  • Conducting and accompanying Kaizen workshops (moderation, training, and coaching).
  • Drive for Kaizen improvement.
  • Coaching and mentoring teams and managers in the implementation of lean principles.
  • Set Lean impulses and encourage managers to recognize and eliminate waste.
  • Creation of training plans and implementation of lean training for managers and employees.
  • Conduct regular reviews to check the progress of lean implementation and improve the approach.
  • Collaborate with the company's Lean community to share synergies and best practices.
Your Qualifications

  • Degree or above in Industrial Engineering/Manufacturing Engineering/Business administration/related disciplines.
  • Minimum 5 years of proven implementation experience in lean implementation and process optimization.
  • Enthusiasm for Lean principles, continuous improvement, and the pursuit of excellence.
  • Experience working with a wide range of employees, from operational to managerial.
  • Strong communication and moderation skills with confidence.
  • Strong training and presentation skills to clearly convey Lean concepts.
  • Proactive and self-motivated way of working to advance projects independently.
  • Experienced use of various lean methods such as Kaizen workshops, 5S, swim lane/value stream mapping, A3 problem solving, shop floor management.
  • Six Sigma experience in manufacturing would be an added advantage.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
  • Willing & prepared to travel as part of the training and personal exchange with the company-wide lean community.
