Job summary

HTX invites applications for an Enterprise Communications and Digital Infrastructure architect to design end-to-end Wireless and Fixed Access solutions, including security, to support HTD’s operations. You will plan infrastructure, conduct market surveys, write tender specs, evaluate tenders, and oversee implementation and site acquisition.

You will drive architectural evolution and ensure availability and lifecycle costing across platforms, coordinating with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or related Engineering.
• Postgraduate qualifications and/or more than 5 years of experience for senior positions.
• At least 3 years in wireless systems (5G NR, 4G LTE, TETRA); 8+ years for Principal Engineer.
• Strong knowledge in telecommunications standards (3GPP, ETSI).
• RF, coverage planning, EMI/EMC knowledge.
• RAN virtualization and Mobility knowledge is an advantage.
• Knowledge of 5G services like Network Slicing.
• Strong planning and project management skills; PMP or equivalent is an advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under tight timelines.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end design of Wireless and Fixed Access including security to meet operational needs.
• Plan Wireless and Fixed Access infrastructure: requirements, surveys, tenders, evaluation, implementation and site acquisition.
• Plan near- and long-term network architecture evolution and integration across platforms.
• Support approvals for project requirements papers and manage telecommunication infrastructure projects.
• Lead in tender evaluation from technical and commercial perspectives and oversee implementation.
• Ensure system availability and life cycle costing considerations.
• Identify critical design parameters affecting performance.
• Produce technical documents: tender specs, system designs, test plans and reports.
• Participate in acceptance tests (UAT, FAT, OSAT, SSAT) and manage configuration.
• Provide regular progress updates to HTX management on milestones and expenditures.
• Engage stakeholders to deliver communications system and ensure contractual compliance.
