Job summary

HTX is seeking an AI R&D Engineer / Lead Engineer in Singapore to research, develop, and deliver innovative computer vision and AI solutions for Public Safety. You will explore emerging AI technologies, translate findings into proofs‑of‑concepts, and collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams to deliver impactful capabilities.

The role involves horizon scanning, benchmarking, data annotation, model training, and cross‑agency collaboration.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or master's in CS/EE or related field.
4–5 years of relevant experience with at least 2–3 years in AI research and application development.
Experience with OpenCV, PyTorch, ONNX, TensorRT, and TensorFlow.
Vision‑AI models or large vision models preferred.
Familiarity with academic research workflows: replication, benchmarking, dataset collection/annotation.
Experience publishing AI or CV research papers preferred.
Experience collaborating with universities, vendors, or cross‑functional teams in research/co‑development.
Excellent communication to convey complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.
Cloud environments deployment experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging computer vision and AI technologies relevant to Home Team use‑cases.
Review and replicate state‑of‑the‑art solutions and benchmark against internal/external options.
Drive dataset collection, annotation, and model training/evaluation to validate directions.
Collaborate with universities and vendors to co‑develop AI solutions.
Integrate research outcomes into operational ecosystems for Home Team use‑cases and applications.
Translate research findings into proofs‑of‑concepts, prototypes, and demos for stakeholders.
