VDL Enabling Technologies Group (Singapore) seeks a Lead Test Engineer to provide technical leadership and governance for module testing and system qualification. You will own end-to-end test strategy, drive automation and data-driven decisions while aligning with product roadmaps and factory objectives.

You will lead a team, set priorities, and ensure compliance with QMS, safety and quality standards. Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics, Computer & Software, Systems Engineering or related.
• 8–10 years of test engineering experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Experience with semiconductor equipment, complex mechatronic systems or cleanroom environments preferred.
• Proven experience leading technical teams and cross-functional improvement initiatives.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt, ISTQB or relevant certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of test strategy, requirements analysis, test coverage and traceability.

Responsabilités

• Lead the Test Engineering team, assign ownership, set priorities and establish escalation mechanisms.
• Own test and qualification strategy for new product introduction, transfers and ramping.
• Translate requirements into test coverage, acceptance criteria, procedures and qualification plans.
• Govern creation, validation, release, deployment and change control of test procedures and work instructions.
• Define and maintain test systems, fixtures, diagnostic equipment and calibration requirements.
• Lead development of test software, scripts, sequences and data solutions.
• Monitor test execution, capacity, uptime, retest and delivery risks; coordinate across functions.
• Lead complex module and system troubleshooting, root-cause analysis and CAPA activities.
• Establish and review test KPIs and trends; drive continuous improvement initiatives.
