Job summary

RAPSYS TECHNOLOGIES PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking an experienced Lead System Engineer with hands-on expertise in Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) to lead our enterprise IT operations.

Design, deploy, and manage Windows and RHEL infrastructure in on-prem and hybrid environments; automate with PowerShell, Bash, and Python; ensure security hardening, patching, monitoring, and incident response; document configurations and collaborate across teams.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on Windows Server / Wintel administration and management.
• Must have hands-on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) experience.
• ITIL Foundation certification is required.
• 3–5 years of IT infrastructure experience is expected.
• Scripting/automation experience with PowerShell, Bash, and Python.
• Knowledge of patch management, security hardening, and system monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, and manage Windows Server and RHEL infrastructure in on‑premises and hybrid environments.
• Perform system administration activities including user management, access controls, patch management, and security hardening.
• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, and Python.
• Monitor system performance and optimize infrastructure for availability and resource utilization.
• Troubleshoot complex system and infrastructure issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Manage virtualization platforms and storage solutions, including configuration and capacity planning.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on infrastructure changes and upgrades.
• Maintain detailed technical documentation covering system configurations, procedures, and architecture.
• Conduct security assessments and implement infrastructure security best practices.
• Participate in incident management and provide on‑call support when required.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend infrastructure improvements.

We are looking for an experienced Lead System Engineer with strong expertise in Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). The ideal candidate should have hands‑on experience in system administration, infrastructure management, automation, security hardening, troubleshooting, and enterprise IT operations.

What You'll Do:

What We're Looking For:

Strong hands‑on experience in Windows Server / Wintel administration and management – Must Have.

Hands‑on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) – Must Have.

Strong system administration and infrastructure troubleshooting skills.

Experience with PowerShell, Bash, and Python scripting/automation.

Good knowledge of patch management, security hardening, access control, and system monitoring.

Experience with virtualization and storage technologies.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong team coordination and collaboration skills.

Good stakeholder engagement and presentation skills.

Strong time management and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Ability to create detailed and accurate technical documentation.

ITIL Foundation certification – Must Have.

Good to Have:

Experience with IBM AIX administration.

Knowledge of IBM Spectrum Protect for backup and recovery.

Familiarity with CyberArk Privileged Access Management.

Experience with IBM QRadar SIEM.

Knowledge of Symantec EDR.

Experience with IBM Tivoli Monitoring.

Familiarity with RSA security solutions.

Experience in vulnerability remediation tracking and management.

Experience:

3–5 years of experience in IT infrastructure administration, operations, or support roles.
