A leading education service provider in Singapore is seeking a Student Services Manager to champion student wellbeing and support their holistic growth. The ideal candidate should have 6–8 years of experience in student services or welfare, with a Bachelor's degree in a related field. This role involves creating impactful support initiatives and fostering an inclusive culture. A commitment to student development and excellent communication skills are essential. Salary range is $6000-$7500/month, and the contract period is 3 years.

Job description

Job Scope:

  • Champion student wellbeing by leading and implementing initiatives that promote holistic care and personal growth.
  • Be a trusted first point of contact for students, proactively identifying needs, providing early support, and connecting them to specialised services when needed.
  • Create engaging programmes and campaigns that strengthen students’ mental, emotional, and social resilience.
  • Stay connected with students’ voices through feedback, data insights, and collaboration with student leaders, ensuring initiatives remain relevant and impactful.
  • Build strong partnerships with faculty, advisors, and university offices (e.g. Student Affairs, Counselling Services) to provide a seamless network of support.
  • Foster a caring, inclusive culture where every student feels a sense of belonging at MSE.
  • Empower students for the future by supporting career planning and post-graduation readiness.
  • Nurture student life and leadership by guiding MSE student clubs and peer tutoring programmes.
  • Ensure fairness and inclusivity by managing leave applications, disciplinary cases, and continuous assessment processes, including arrangements for students with specific learning or support requirements.
  • Collaborate across the school to embed student care into broader initiatives and align with university-wide best practices.
  • Drive impact and excellence by monitoring outcomes, reporting on KPIs, and continuously improving student care strategies.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, Counselling or related field.
  • 6–8 years of relevant experience in student services, welfare, or pastoral care, with a strong track record of supporting student development.
  • Student Support Expertise: Proven ability to monitor, follow up, and guide students’ progress, empowering them to succeed academically and prepare for their post-graduation journey.
  • Student-Centred Mindset: Deep understanding of student needs and challenges, with the capability to design and implement impactful support initiatives.
  • People Skills: Excellent communication, cultural sensitivity, and empathy, coupled with a genuine passion for student development and community building.
  • Crisis Readiness: Prior training in counselling and crisis support is an advantage.

Working Hours: School Hours

Contract Period: 3 years

Salary: $6000-$7500/month
