Join us in a pivotal role that merges passion for technology with exceptional leadership skills to develop new revenue opportunities in Cloud and ICT for the region. As Lead Architect for the Cloud & Solutions business, you will drive the solution architecture and support the product development of the end to end solution stack, as well as the service design of the Cloud and its marketplace as well as enabling regional partnerships and execute plans in developing new generation solutions. The role is also expected to support architecting solutions in support of any large business deals.

About the Division

International Digital Services (IDS) is a strategic and pivotal unit, contributing to the Group’s transformation vision by providing leadership in new and breakthrough strategies and development of new and emerging business and operating models. As a business unit, it is focused on adjacent to Telco opportunities, continuously innovating to harness scale and synergies across the Group to deliver quality solutions to telcos and enterprises regionally and internationally. Beyond business, IDS champions an agile and streamlined operating model while serves as a launchpad for talent development.

Telco Cloud & Solutions

The Telco Cloud & Solutions vertical is a key contributor to the IDS business, and aims market breakthrough for SME Digitalization with a robust Cloud platform, intelligent solutions marketplace and serving a vibrant SME community for the region. Reporting to Head Telco Cloud, the Lead Architect is a key position who will assume the responsibilities to drive :

• Service Design accountability for Platform Architecture
• Framework for application/ solutions onboarding
• Customer Solutions, onboarding and bid support
• Integration design, upgrade paths and solutions

• Understand business functions and transform requirements into architecture and blueprint for the solutions being created
• Design and implement scalable, high-performance, and secure cloud solutions
• Develop and maintain cloud architecture frameworks, including architectural design, technology selection, and deployment strategies
• Oversee the integration of PaaS and SaaS solutions as part of the cloud services
• Design and manage cloud deployment solutions, ensuring resiliency, security and performance
• Ensure solutions are compliant with regulatory and corporate technology risk and information security standards
• Monitor and manage cloud costs, providing recommendations to optimize infrastructure usage and improve overall efficiency
• Work closely with stakeholders, including product owners, developers, DevOps engineers, senior executives, system integrators and product partners, to ensure alignment and effective communication
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to cloud engineering and DevOps teams, promoting best practices in development and cloud architecture

Skills for Success

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or its equivalent
• Min 8 years of experience in the technology industry including 5+ in cloud architecture and delivery.
• Experience with cloud architecture and hands-on experience in deploying and managing cloud-based applications.
• Experience working on mission critical platforms focusing on scalability, performance and security
• Passion for architecture and ability to pick up and learn new technological advances very quickly.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and/or Huawei Cloud.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, or AWS CloudFormation
• Understanding of cloud security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and compliance frameworks
• Strong understanding of business continuity management and disaster recovery planning
• Ability to effectively communicate vision and roadmap to all stakeholders. Exceptional communication skills with diverse audiences (including non-technical audiences)
• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking
