Job summary

JAC Recruitment Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an experienced Software Lead to drive firmware and software platform development for cutting-edge optical communications products. You will lead a small team, shape architecture, and deliver robust SDKs and embedded software.

The role combines hands-on coding with technical leadership across hardware teams; you will establish coding standards, review designs, and ensure performance, security, and quality across firmware and software across product

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Communications Engineering, or related discipline.
5+ years hands-on embedded C/C++ software development experience.
Experience with optical communications or Optical DSP technologies is required.
Familiarity with semiconductor, ASIC, FPGA, or silicon-based product development.
Strong understanding of software engineering principles, embedded systems, and firmware development.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of software engineers for SDK, firmware, and embedded software development.
Define software architecture, technical strategy, and development best practices.
Develop software for semiconductor and optical networking products and translate requirements into features.
Ensure software meets performance, reliability, scalability, security, and quality objectives.
Hands-on participation in design, coding, debugging, integration, and validation of critical components.
