RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and participate in an in-house engineering squad to deliver high-quality solutions for a government cloud platform.
• Design, develop, and maintain APIs, backend automation, and cloud-based solutions using Node.js and Python.
• Guide and mentor development communities in building and deploying on cloud environments.
• Drive adoption of DevOps best practices, contributing to automation, scalability, availability, and resiliency.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines with tools such as GitLab, Atlassian suite, and terraform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement large-scale cloud automation and landing zones across multiple cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Ensure platform security and compliance in line with government standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years in backend/API development and integration using Node.js and Python.
• Proven track record in leading small engineering teams while remaining hands-on.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure deployment and automation.
• Practitioner in Agile development, secure pipelines, and deployment automation.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Policies as Code, and Git.
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of code security practices and open-source tools in relevant domains.
• Passionate about automation and DevOps culture.
