Job summary

RoviSys is seeking a Lead Automation/Systems Engineer to guide project teams in the design, development and commissioning of control systems. You will translate specifications into robust electrical panels, control architectures and wiring schemas, while mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with clients.

The role requires hands-on PLC/DCS implementation, P&ID development, and on-site testing across facilities in Singapore and abroad.

Qualifications

• Design electrical panels, control architecture and wiring drawings.
• Develop P&ID documentation for process clients.
• Define and implement PLC/DCS configurations to meet client needs.

• Lead teams of engineers and technicians to provide control system solutions.

ALeadAutomation/SystemsEngineeratRoviSyswill serve as a software or hardware lead on projects, as well aspossessthe ability to understand functional specifications and/or design specifications and translate that knowledge in the implementation of control systems. A lead engineer will be expected to develop skillsrequiredto successfully implement an entire project from both a control system software and hardware standpoint.A Lead Engineer will act as a mentor to Engineers and support training plans for Engineers.

Description of work:

• Defineand implement programmable logic controller (PLC)/ladder design, distributed control system (DCS) configuration to meet client needs.

Control Systems Knowledge:

• Industry 4.0applications.

• Electricaldesign and Process Control fundamentals.

• Familiaritywith Controllers, such as single loop control, PLC, DCS or PC based control.

• IOT devices,communicationsprotocolsand connectivity.

• Exposureto Control Theory and some process understanding is helpful but notrequired.

• Platforms:Microsoft Windows XP/Vista/7, Rockwell Automation, Siemens, EmersonDeltaV, etc.

• Processunderstanding of batch or continuous process control, combustion control, etc.

• Awarenessof process safety,validationand good documentation practices.

• Programminglanguages: PLC ladder Logic, Function Block, SFC VB, etc.

• Third-partyHMI/SCADA Software, i.e.Intellution,WonderWare, OSIsoft, etc.

• Others: Network design/administration.
