Job summary

Land Transport Authority in Singapore is seeking an Executive / Project Engineer, Signalling & Platform Screen Doors. The role leads design review, oversees equipment delivery, and coordinates testing and commissioning for new MRT lines and extensions.

The candidate will manage international contractors, ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery, and liaise with designers, architects, stakeholders, and railway operators to ensure integrated project delivery.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in Electrical and Electronics Engineering / Computer Engineering.
• Strong project management, decision making and leadership skills.
• Positive Safety culture.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Good knowledge with LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, network management and security management.
• Good written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated interpersonal skills to coordinate and manage relationships with multiple stakeholders
• Team player who is analytical, resourceful, and result-oriented
• Relevant experience in large-scale infrastructure projects with relevant experience in safety, quality, contract, and programme management would be an advantage
• Able to perform occasional night works including weekends and public holidays
• Good appreciation of the constraints and interface requirements of civil, trackwork, electrical and mechanical works
• Candidates with more years of relevant experience (e.g. in Railway signalling and/or railway project management) will be considered for senior positions

Responsibilities

• Lead the design review, supervision of equipment delivery and installation for Signalling and Platform Screen Doors systems.
• Coordinate overseas testing and commissioning, ensuring safety, quality and progress across projects.
• Manage risks, cashflows, and project variations/claims; issue engineering instructions.
• Collaborate with contractors, designers, architects, stakeholders and railway operators to ensure well-coordinated projects.
