Job summary

SULTANA CATERING PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Senior Cook to join our kitchen team in Singapore.

The role focuses on food preparation, cooking and maintaining consistent food quality and hygiene standards in a fast-paced environment. You will handle daily preparation, monitor ingredient quality, maintain storage, ensure hygiene, and support catering orders. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of relevant cooking experience and can work independently or as part of a team, with shifts

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant cooking experience.
• Experience in a food court, canteen, restaurant or catering environment preferred.
• Able to prepare and cook food in large quantities.
• Good knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods and food hygiene.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook dishes according to the company's recipes and food standards.
• Handle daily food preparation, including cutting, marinating, seasoning and cooking.
• Ensure food is prepared and served according to required quality and portion standards.
• Monitor the freshness and quality of ingredients.
• Maintain proper food storage and minimise food wastage.
• Ensure the kitchen, cooking equipment and work areas are clean and hygienic.
• Follow proper food safety and hygiene procedures.
• Assist with planning daily food preparation according to business requirements.
• Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Guide and assist junior cooks and kitchen helpers when required.
• Monitor cooking times and ensure food is ready for service on time.
• Assist with stock checking and inform management when ingredients are running low.
• Support catering orders and large-volume food preparation when required.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and company policies.
• Perform other kitchen duties assigned by the management.
