SIMTech's MCF group seeks a motivated research scientist to lead powder flow forming R&D. You design experiments and develop materials and processes for slurry forming across semiconductor, automotive, biomedical and energy sectors, collaborating across disciplines.

You will supervise junior staff, manage timelines and budgets, and drive safety and quality in lab and pilot operations while pursuing publications and patents where applicable.

Formación

• PhD in Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemistry Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of research experience in metal/ceramic forming.
• Strong slurry forming and sintering expertise.

Responsabilidades

• Perform R&D on powder-based slurry forming technologies (tape/gel/slip casting).
• Design experiments and optimize heat treatment for debinding, sintering, densification.
• Apply SEM/EDX/XRD and mechanical tests for microstructure analysis.
• Develop materials and processes for new slurry forming tech.
• Document findings in journals, internal reports or patents.
• Manage project timelines, budgets and deliverables.
• Collaborate with industry partners and academia on joint projects.
• Provide mentorship and career development to team members.
• Ensure safety and quality in lab and pilot-scale ops.
