Job summary

Balyasny Asset Management in Singapore seeks a software engineer to design, build, test, deploy, and maintain a high-volume trade management system. The team primarily uses Rust, with support for C#/.NET components as needed.

You'll optimize performance and memory usage to reduce AWS costs while collaborating with engineers across the UK, Poland, New York, and Hong Kong. 5+ years in enterprise development is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on enterprise-level development experience.
• Strong expertise in Rust, Java, and C#/.NET; async/await and concurrency.
• Experience with service-oriented architectures and microservices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain Rust-based, multithreaded trade-flow systems.
• Interoperate with C#/.NET services and contribute to them as needed.
• Profile and optimize latency, memory usage, and AWS cost footprints.
• Make independent decisions while mitigating risks.
• Own all aspects of the trade management systems.
• Balance second-line support with development responsibilities in a fast-paced setting.
• Collaborate globally with engineers in the UK, Poland, New York, and Hong Kong.
