Job summary

The Asian School of the Environment (ASE) at Nanyang Technological University seeks a Research Fellow to lead eddy covariance data analysis for greenhouse gas flux research in Southeast Asian wetlands. The role supports NTU's mission in climate change mitigation and adaptation, collaborating across disciplines and partners.

Responsibilities include QA/QC of EC data, developing automated processing workflows, contributing to publications, and building a regional flux tower network with data

Qualifications

• PhD in Environmental Science, Atmospheric Science, Micrometeorology, Biogeochemistry, Ecology, or closely related field.
• Experience with eddy covariance measurements of greenhouse gases and energy fluxes.
• Knowledge of eddy covariance theory, instrumentation, and standard processing software.

Responsibilities

• QA/QC of eddy covariance and meteorological data; produce monthly data reports.
• Improve, standardize, and automate EC preprocessing workflows (flux calculation, filtering, gap-filling, flux partitioning, uncertainty estimation).
• Prepare and contribute to peer‑reviewed publications, proposals, technical reports, and internal notes; present findings at meetings.
• Contribute to development of a Southeast Asian flux tower network, including data harmonization and partner engagement.
