A leading energy solutions provider seeks a Lead Repair Development Engineer to support joining technologies for the Gas Power business. This full-time role in Singapore requires a bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of manufacturing experience, with a focus on joining processes. Ideal candidates will have strong knowledge in welding metallurgy and lean methodologies, working closely with diverse teams to enhance repair processes.

Key Responsibilities
Develop new manufacturing and repair process technologies to support component teams in implementing repair strategies or meeting factory NPI (New Product Introduction) requirements.
Create validation plans for repair materials and process technologies in collaboration with New Repair Introduction engineers.
Ensure the successful transfer of developed processes and validate repair service centers’ qualifications and certifications for repair procedures.
Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles while adhering to business standards, practices, and procedures.
Monitor and communicate project status, business issues, and key developments.
Maintain deep expertise in joining processes—such as welding and brazing—to address engineering challenges and determine the most suitable methods for specific applications.
Ensure proper documentation of technical data generated during assigned projects or tasks, in line with engineering policies and procedures.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to enhance processes throughout the repair network.
Collaborate with the supply chain, component teams, productivity departments, and other GE organizations to identify project opportunities and drive improvements within the supply chain.
Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Welding, Materials, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field—or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum of 8 years of manufacturing experience, including at least 5 years specializing in joining processes.
Strong knowledge of superalloy welding and brazing metallurgy.
Familiarity with industrial gas turbine components and processes, such as thermal spray coating, surface finishing, sealing, and machining, is an advantage.
Effective team collaborator, capable of working closely with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
Solid understanding of lean methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Willingness and ability to travel at least 10% of the time, as needed.
