Roles & Responsibilities
- Define Functional and Non-Functional Test Strategy tailored for banking systems, including performance, FMEA, and API security validation aligned with compliance and operational risk standards.
- Drive performance testing (load, stress, scalability) for core banking applications, transaction flows, and integrations using tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Implement API security testing with OWASP Top 10 coverage—ensuring secure communication across financial APIs (payments, KYC, lending, customer data).
- Conduct FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) to identify failure points in critical banking operations like fund transfers, customer onboarding, and payment gateways.
- Create and manage test beds and traceability matrices that reflect regulatory, transactional, and customer-impact scenarios typical of BFSI platforms.
- Collaborate with business users, product owners, and technology teams to validate UAT across lending, deposits, digital banking, and compliance modules.
- Track and report UAT and non-functional KPIs with a focus on SLAs, response times, and system resilience under real-time financial load conditions.
- Manage end-to-end defect lifecycle with risk-based prioritization—especially in high-value, high-risk areas like transaction reversals or interest calculations.
- Lead regression testing across integrated banking environments to ensure system stability across releases and patch updates.
- Deliver detailed test closure reports, aligning outcomes with audit, compliance, and regulatory reporting standards.
- Ensure strong test governance in multi-vendor, multi-country project environments common in regional banking transformations.
- Stay up to date with evolving digital banking trends (open banking, embedded finance, fintech integration) to align testing strategies with future-state architectures.
