GEAESS is our largest site for engine component Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO), responsible for more than 60% of our global repair volume.
Role Overview:
Lead the daily production meetings to assess daily capability to meet Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost objectives.
Handle day to day people issues - absenteeism, turnover, recruitment, disciplinary investigation & execution, tardiness, accident or incident investigation. Track and coordinate appraisal of technicians.
Identify production bottlenecks and constraint points; understand available capacity: track labor utilization and efficiency, and ensure these are managed in production to maximize cell output.
Plan, schedule, update and track training of technicians; Develop training plan within the component such as proper update of OJT record and EHS training requirements.
Develop and maintain skill matrix for cell that documents skill level of each employee and ensures a cross-training plan is in place to support volume growth.
Work with Engineers and Lean Specialists to implement quality/productivity/cost out/yield improvement projects in the Cell.

In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
Acts as a resource for newly joined colleagues with less experience. Requires to co-lead projects with low risks and resource requirements.
This candidate should possess strong operational and engineering skills and exhibit high level of maturity and competency in achieving KPI successes.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate should have relevant shop floor experiences leading/managing a team of technicians in a MRO environment and is able to troubleshoot issues on the shop floor when the need arises. The candidate should also exhibit strong skills in leadership and teamwork building.
Required Qualifications
Possesses a Degree or Diploma in Engineering from a local or internationally recognised university or polytechnic.
At least 5 years of relevant experience within Aviation or similar manufacturing production industry in the same capacity/role.
Good knowledge/familiarity in Lean Concepts.
