Job Description Summary
We are hiring a Lead Product Engineer to focus on the repair work scope for gas turbine blades. This role is responsible for ensuring technical compliance with engineering and customer requirements, preparing clear work instructions, resolving technical issues, and supporting process development and implementation. It includes oversight of product and process qualifications, documentation of part conditions, and adherence to quality standards.
The role works closely with the operations team to meet targets across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and performance. It also includes involvement in New Product Introduction (NPI) and Product Cost-Out (PCO) efforts and driving improvements to increase reliability, efficiency, and consistency in repair processes.
Key Responsibilities
Define and manage the repair work scope for gas turbine blades based on part condition and technical specifications
Develop work instructions in accordance with engineering and customer standards
Troubleshoot technical issues and propose effective solutions
Oversee implementation of new processes and methods
Manage product and process qualification activities
Compile reports on incoming conditions and completed repairs
Work with production teams to meet performance targets across key metrics
Ensure compliance with quality procedures and address any deviations
Contribute to NPI and PCO activities and interface with technical stakeholders
Identify and implement opportunities for operational and process improvement
Apply structured methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma where applicable
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical)
5–8 years of relevant experience in engineering or manufacturing environments
Ability to analyze technical issues and apply structured problem-solving approaches
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with turbine component repairs is beneficial
Preferred
Experience with Lean or continuous improvement practices
Ability to prepare detailed technical documentation and reports
Comfortable working in regulated, process-oriented environments
Focused and detail-oriented with a strong sense of accountability
