Joining this team will allow you to influence long-term visual and interaction design decisions, set the direction for user experiences, and collaborate with a global network of over 600 designers to contribute to a culture of design excellence.What You'll Do:As a Lead Product Designer at Atlassian, you will:- Drive systems design thinking across the Atlassian Commerce Platform to simplify complex workflows and enhance the consistency, scalability, and personality of UX/UI patterns.- Craft visually engaging designs that balance function with form, using grids, layouts, and advanced compositions to create delightful user experiences.- Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and designers to identify and solve customer pain points while aligning user needs with business priorities.- Coach and mentor designers at all levels, providing actionable feedback and fostering growth in their craft and confidence in their contributions.- Translate product strategies into narratives with actionable goals, ensuring alignment with team objectives, customer outcomes, and organizational goals.- Lead strategic initiatives while ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality designs through other team members.- Utilize design research and data insights to inform and validate your work, setting up iterative testing processes for continuous refinement and improvement.Your Background:To be successful in this role, you should have:- 10+ years of product design experience, focusing on complex systems, enterprise SaaS, or scalable design solutions.- Exceptional skills in simplifying complexity, employing storytelling and design to engage stakeholders.- Strong knowledge of visual design principles, including grids, layout, typography, and composition, to create visually engaging designs.- Experience collaborating with engineering teams to align design with architecture and enhance the user experience.- Proficiency in tools like Figma, Sketch, and prototyping software for co-designing and iterating with cross-functional teams.- Excellent facilitation, communication, and collaboration skills to influence senior stakeholders in product, engineering, and design.- A track record of coaching and mentoring designers to elevate craft quality and foster a growth mindset.- Familiarity with design systems and experience contributing to their evolution and scaling within a complex organization.Benefits & Perks:Atlassian offers a wide range of perks and benefits to support you, your family, and help you engage with your local community.
