Lead Process Specialist (Water/Wastewater)

Overview

As a Lead Process Specialist, you will function as a technical expert in municipal and industrial wastewater and sludge treatment processes. Your responsibilities include process design and analysis, with a broad knowledge base in your discipline. Knowledge of other disciplines and advanced process control using AI technology is advantageous.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design process systems for wastewater treatment plants, including screening, physical-chemical, biological treatment, blower equipment, odour control, disinfection, and sludge treatment.
• Design ancillary systems such as chemical feed, mechanical ventilation, and drainage systems.
• Prepare Process Flow Diagrams, mass balances, and P&IDs.
• Create general arrangement and equipment layout drawings.
• Specify process equipment and evaluate vendor submissions.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, control designers, and digital water specialists.
• Lead meetings, HAZOPs, and discussions with clients, contractors, and vendors.
• Support bids and proposals with engineering expertise.
• Develop testing and commissioning plans and lead process testing and commissioning activities.
• Guide a team of process engineers, ensuring quality assurance and quality control of their designs.
• Stay updated with the latest wastewater treatment and sludge management technologies and incorporate them into designs.
