Lead Process Engineer – FPSO (Oil & Gas Sector)

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Lead Process Engineer to join our dynamic team, focusing on cutting-edge Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) projects. This is an exceptional opportunity for a passionate individual with a strong background in chemical engineering to take on a pivotal role in shaping complex offshore oil and gas developments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership in all phases of process engineering activities across Concept, FEED, and Detailed Design stages of FPSO projects.
  • Oversee process simulations, developing robust Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Utility Flow Diagrams (UFDs) to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
  • Lead the creation, review, and validation of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) with a focus on operational safety and design integrity.
  • Develop comprehensive datasheets for all major process equipment and instrumentation, ensuring alignment with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Execute relief and blowdown studies, evaluate dynamic scenarios, and determine safe and efficient flare system capacity and configurations.
  • Perform detailed process calculations including equipment sizing, pressure drop analysis, and line hydraulics to optimize system functionality.
  • Formulate and maintain process design philosophies and operation manuals, supporting commissioning and long-term operations planning.
  • Coordinate across multidisciplinary teams to integrate process systems with mechanical, piping, instrumentation, and control systems.
Candidate Profile & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from a recognized institution. Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in process engineering with a proven track record in offshore oil and gas projects, particularly FPSO systems.
  • Strong background in Concept Development, Front-End Engineering Design (FEED), and Detailed Engineering phases for large-scale hydrocarbon facilities.
  • Hands-on experience in FPSO/O&G/LNG projects and a sound understanding of Energy Transition technologies will be considered highly beneficial.
  • Demonstrated capability in leading multi-disciplinary process teams, managing project deliverables, and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Expertise in using process simulation tools such as HYSYS, Aspen Plus, and ProMax, as well as familiarity with international codes and industry standards (API, ASME, ISO, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills with an ability to present engineering solutions clearly and confidently to stakeholders.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in a Lead Process Engineer role on FPSO projects and/or those with EPC background.
