Job summary

NIPSEA TECHNOLOGIES PTE. LTD. is seeking a highly motivated R&D Chemist in Polymer Synthesis to contribute to the development of innovative materials for industrial applications.

You will lead polymer synthesis projects and work with diverse teams to push the boundaries of coating materials. The ideal candidate holds a PhD in polymer-related fields or a Master’s/Bachelor’s with relevant experience, demonstrates strong problem-solving and project management skills, and is capable of independent,

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Polymer Science, Organic Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field (focus on organic/polymer synthesis); no prior experience required.
• OR: Master's / Bachelor's degree in the same fields with 3+ years of organic or polymer synthesis experience.
• In-depth knowledge of polymer design, synthesis, and characterization.
• Strong problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.
• Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute polymer synthesis projects, developing novel materials for paints and coatings.
• Conduct experiments, analyse data, and optimize synthesis processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve material performance.
• Conduct literature and patent searches on project related topics; analyse and summarize search results in a report with background information, target performance requirement, competitive analysis and technical approaches.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work area.
• Develop formulation, application and process skill sets, serve as a key contributor accountable for the fulfilment of innovation pipeline and product portfolio.
