Job summary

TRUST RECRUIT PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead new equipment installations, testing and commissioning in Singapore. You will perform PLC programming, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis to ensure reliable plant operations.

You will review equipment specifications, coordinate purchasing, and drive engineering design reviews along with safety and regulatory compliance. Hands-on work and cross-functional collaboration are essential for success.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with at least 5 years of relevant experience or Master's with at least 3 years.
Strong hands-on experience in PLC programming, modification and troubleshooting.
Good technical knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems in a plant/manufacturing environment.
Experience in new equipment installation, testing, commissioning and equipment modifications.
Experience supporting preventive maintenance and equipment troubleshooting.
Strong root cause analysis, problem-solving and analytical skills.
Able to read and interpret P&ID drawings.
Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory requirements for equipment.
Experience managing engineering projects, vendors and contractors would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

Lead and support new equipment installations, testing and commissioning.
Perform PLC program modifications, troubleshooting and fault diagnosis for plant equipment and electrical systems.
Support preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and breakdown rectification to ensure reliable plant operations.
Review and confirm new equipment specifications and coordinate purchasing, installation and commissioning.
Carry out equipment and process modifications to support production requirements and continuous improvement.
Conduct engineering design reviews for new equipment installations and modification projects.
Investigate equipment failures, perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Provide technical guidance and training to engineers on maintenance and safe work practices.
Support Workplace Safety & Health programmes and plan safety activities to meet KPIs.
Lead and manage Engineering Change Request (ECR) reduction and closure.
