Job summary

Seatrium (SG) Pte. Ltd. is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to develop offshore HVDC/HVAC electrical system concepts and define the platform electrical architecture during Concept Select and FEED phases.

You will perform system-level design for offshore substations, including power generation/distribution philosophy, auxiliary systems, and protection schemes, while coordinating multidisciplinary integration for successful platform delivery.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognised university.
Master’s degree in Power Systems or High Voltage Engineering is advantageous.
Minimum 8 years in high voltage electrical systems engineering, with offshore substation experience.

Responsibilities

Develop offshore HV/HVDC electrical system concepts and platform architecture.
Design system-level for offshore substations, including protections and load flow philosophy.
Prepare FEED deliverables: SLDs, protection philosophies, load lists, and studies.
Interface with grid operators, OEMs, clients, and certifying authorities.
Define specs for GIS switchgear, HVDC converters, transformers, switchboards, UPS, and controls.
Lead TBE, vendor design reviews, FAT/SAT, and technical clarifications.
Coordinate across electrical, control, telecom, mechanical, safety, and structural disciplines.
Support electrical safety activities and compliance with IEC/IEEE/DNV standards.
Assist in construction, commissioning, and offshore hook-up activities.
Participate in design reviews, HAZID/HAZOP, and lessons learned sessions.
