Job summary

You will educate patients and families, ensure care aligns with hospital policies, and maintain a safe, supportive environment while communicating changes to the care team. The role includes supervising junior staff and contributing to patient safety and quality of care.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised nursing care based on patients’ needs, medical orders and established clinical standards.
• Provide patients and their families with relevant health education, care information and emotional support throughout the care process.
• Ensure nursing care is delivered in accordance with hospital policies, professional standards, clinical protocols and best practices.
• Promote and maintain a safe, therapeutic and supportive environment that safeguards patients’ dignity, comfort and well-being.
• Communicate significant changes in patients’ conditions, treatment plans, nursing interventions and outcomes to the Senior Nurse Manager, Nurse Manager and attending doctor in a timely manner.
• Supervise, coach and mentor new and junior nursing staff, supporting their competency development and integration into the nursing team.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of nursing practice, patient safety and quality of care.
