Job Description:
- Lead the design and development of marine vessels, offshore structures, and floating platforms from concept to delivery.
- Oversee hydrostatic and hydrodynamic analyses to ensure optimal vessel performance and stability.
- Conduct mooring analyses, installation analyses, riser analyses, sea fastening design, and diffraction analysis
- Manage structural analysis for ship and offshore projects, ensuring compliance with classification society and industry standards.
- Provide technical leadership for multidisciplinary teams, integrating naval architecture with other engineering disciplines.
- Supervise the preparation of technical documentation, including design reports, stability calculations, and classification approvals.
- Collaborate with clients, shipyards, and classification societies to address project requirements and ensure approvals.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering technical excellence and professional growth within the team.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards in all designs and operations.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring successful project execution and delivery.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in naval architecture, ship design, or offshore engineering, including leadership roles.
- Extensive knowledge of ship design principles, hydrodynamics, structural analysis,and marine systems integration.
- Proficiency in advanced naval architecture software (e.g., GHS, Hydrostar, Sesam, Orcaflex, etc).
- Deep understanding of classification society standards and regulations (e.g., SOLARS, MARPOL, ABS, DNV, etc).
- Proven experience in stability analysis, weight management, and structural integrity assessments.
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- Experience with offshore platforms, floating structures, or renewable energy (e.g., floating wind farms) is an advantage
